Brighton Stun Man United, Secure Premier League Safety

Read Time:52 Second

Brighton & Hove Albion ended a run of seven games without a win by beating Manchester United 1-0 in their Premier League clash at the Amex Stadium on Friday night.
The result also made certain of the Seagulls’ place in the Premier League next season.
United on the other hand need a win from their last game of the season to guarantee second position.
Pascal Gross scored the winning goal for the hosts two minutes before the half hour mark.
Jose Izquierdo’s effort was tipped away by David de Gea into the path of Gross, who saw his header go over the line, despite Marcos Rojo’s efforts to keep it out.
The visitors nearly equalised four minutes from time but Jesse Lingard scuffed his shot after he was set up Marcus Rashford.
It was the second time ever that Brighton have beaten Manchester United, the first time since 1982.
The defeat means United have lost to all the promoted teams in the Premier League this season: Newcastle, Huddersfield and Brighton.
