Don’t mind them, I’m Not Sick – King Sunny Ade Speaks On Death Rumor
King Sunny Ade (KSA) has addressed the rumors that filtered the internet earlier this week that he has passed on. According to the veteran singer, he is alive and healthy. He said the rumor has left him baffled while anyone will wake up and go to the press that he is dead.
He said he actually performed at Tunji Braithwaite’s burial ceremony on Saturday which can be confirmed from people. If I was ill, I won’t be able to do that, he said.
“If I were in a hospital, I would say so. There wouldn’t have been any reason for me to lie. In fact, the hospital would also see me as a liar if I lied that I wasn’t admitted or sick. But the truth is that I have not been sick. I am hale and hearty,” he said while speaking with Saturday Beats.
Speaking about the rumor mongers, he said;
“Don’t mind them. But they can’t kill me. God will not allow anything to happen to me. I performed at Tunji Braithwaite’s burial on Saturday night and I wasn’t ill. I am just coming from Oba Awujale’s palace in Ijebu Ode as you are talking to me.
I am very healthy.
“I am not on Facebook, so I didn’t even read the story. It was friends that called me to tell me about what they read. I still pray for those who started the rumor. I don’t look for enemies and I don’t have any enemy,” he said.
