Today promises nothing short of excitement as the final of the world cup would be played today. Will Smith has been scheduled to perform in the closing ceremony and that is something to look forward to.
France and Croatia would lock horns today in a quest for glory as one team would definitely lift the trophy today not tomorrow. Simply put, there has to be a winner. The popular song by the reggae legend Bob Marley comes to mind, i.e. “who the crown fits, let them wear it …” but we know that is not always the case for football as the underdogs can spring surprises and because you look like a winner does not make you a winner. You have to play to win. You definitely have to win to wear the crown.
France would be looking to take one step further in terms of stamping their authority in world football while Croatia would be looking to break the jinx of not being in the league of world cup winners despite their good performances at the world. The match starts today at 16:00 GMT and we can not wait.
Despite the fact that I have my favorite team, I can not but report to you the authenticity of the fact that today is going to be a tough match for both teams and who ever wins it would have to show a lot of respect for their opposition while at the same time showing their class.
