UNKNOWN GUNMEN ABDUCT PDP LEADER
Reports say Peoples Democratic Party, PDP national youth leader, Udeh Okoye has been kidnapped by yet-to-be-identified gunmen in Enugu, on Monday.
According to the police spokesperson, Ebere Amaraizu who confirmed the report to Premium Times, Okoye was abducted at gunpoint on his way to the farm
“We are on it, but because of the nature of the incident, we would not be able to disclose much details,” Mr Amaraizu said. “He went to his farm and was kidnapped, that should do for now.”
It is however unclear whether the kidnappers have contacted the family or security operatives, as the Police are said to be withholding detailed information about the abduction.
Mr Okoye was elected to lead the PDP youth wing at the party’s national convention in late 2017. He resigned his position as a member of the Enugu State House of Assembly after he was elected youth leader and moved to Abuja.
