WHILE BARCELONA WERE BEATING VALENCIA, UMTITI’S HOUSE WAS BEING ROBBED; MEANWHILE THE CLUB PLANS TO SELL THE DEFENDER IN JANUARY
Samuel Umtiti had his house robbed on Saturday night while Barcelona were playing Valencia at the Camp Nou.
La Vanguardia and Europa Press both report that four people entered Umtiti’s house.
The local police in Esplugas De Llobregat went to the center-back’s house after being informed of the robbery to determine to facts, while the investigation by the Mossos d’Esquadra remains open.
Some witnesses claim that four assailants wearing balaclavas allegedly entered Umtiti’s home on Saturday night.
Meanwhile, Barcelona are said to be once again evaluating Umtiti’s departure, after another injury knock has meant that he is not a truly reliable option for the club.
Juventus are suffering from the absence of Giorgio Chiellini, who suffered an ACL injury in the first match of the season and will be out for the next half-year at a minimum. Therefore, Juventus may consider an approach for the French centre-back in January, should the defence feel depleted.
