“SOCIAL MEDIA IS NOT A COURT OF LAW” – SENATOR ABBO BOASTS AS ASSAULT CASE AGAINST HIM OPENS IN COURT

Senator representing Adamawa-North senatorial district, Elisha Abbo has stated confidently suggested that the heavy criticism he received on social media after a video that showed him assaulting a lady at a sex toy shop went viral.
The lawmaker who is standing trial for assaulting a nursing woman in a sex toy shop, speaking to newsmen after the Tuesday opening proceeding of the case said;
“Everybody wants justice in this world, and we are doing this in the interest of justice. Social media is not a court of law, the court of law is not social media. It was stated out there to point me to look like an animal, that I assaulted a nursing mother. It is confirmed with her mouth today that she is not a Nursing mother. Her child is 12-years old and she is not a nursing mother. A lot of revelations will come out in the interest of justice. In God alone I trust”.

Abbo was arraigned on July 8 on a two-count charge which bordered on criminal force and assault.
The offence is punishable under section 263 and 264 of Penal Code law.
