Demilade Tiwo
Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan has ordered its authorities to prepare a mobile phone app that would help parents report child sex abuse.
Kahn made this announcement after police arrested a man for alleged sexual abuse and murder of four young boys in the nation.
The incident of rape and murder of the four boys took place in September, in the same district where a seven-year-old girl named Zainab was earlier raped and murdered back in 2018.
According to him, the app will allow parents the option of avoiding a decades-old in-person police reporting system. he said Many parents, most especially those in the rural areas and smaller communities, avoid reporting incidents like rape due to shame and fears of stigmatization.
He further said that The app will alert officials in all four provinces of the country about the rape incidents hence curb rape cases in the country.
