She said, “This Short-Term Skills Acquisition training is targeted at curbing idleness, unemployment and empowering vulnerable citizens towards self-reliance, in a bid to make them contributors to the socio-economic development of the State”.

She charged women and men in Iru/VI LCDA to utilise various opportunities made available by the Ministry to learn at least a skill for financial sustainability and contribute to the socio-economic development of the State. She emphasised the need for women to embrace practical skills in driving societal progress.

She urged the graduates to use the skills acquired as stepping stones to a brighter future and embrace the opportunities to become successful entrepreneurs.
