NPFL: MAKINDE COMMENDS SHOOTING STARS FOR SUCCESSFUL SEASON
The Oyo State Government has expressed satisfaction with Shooting Stars’ performance in the 2023-24 Nigeria Premier Football League.
The State Governor, Seyi Makinde, said this at the Lekan Salami Stadium after the Oluyole Warriors final match of the season on Sunday.
Makinde assured that all steps would be taken to ensure the team get a continental slot next season.
“The team has made considerable progress in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), finishing in the fourth place compared to last season,” he revealed to the club’s media.
“As it is, there is room for the team to accomplish even more and we will go back to the drawing board to work towards our goal of qualifying for continental Championship next season.”
Shooting Stars ends their NPFL campaign in fourth position with 62 points.
