Former Secretary to the Government of Rivers State, Dr. Tammy Danagogo, has refuted claims linking him to an alleged assassination plot targeting the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, alongside Pastor Tombari Joseph Gbeneol and others.

In a statement released on Monday and signed by his Special Assistant, Obele Briggs, Dr. Danagogo described the circulating allegations as “baseless, false, and deliberately fabricated.”

The former Minister of Sports stressed that he has never participated in any discussions, meetings, or plans involving violence, assassination, or any unlawful activities.

Dr. Tammy Danagogo has described the allegations as malicious attempts to damage his reputation, mislead the public, and implicate him in matters he has no knowledge of.

In a statement, he said, “The claims circulating on certain online platforms are false, malicious, and deliberately crafted to smear my hard-earned reputation, mislead the public, and drag my name into issues I know absolutely nothing about.”

The statement further portrayed the former Rivers State SSG as a peace-loving, law-abiding citizen who has served both Rivers State and Nigeria with “distinction and integrity,” consistently upholding the rule of law throughout his public and private life.

Danagogo urged the public to disregard the “unfounded and mischievous reports,” emphasizing that they exist only in the imagination of those spreading them.

He also clarified that he is not evading authorities and is willing to make himself available to the police or any responsible law enforcement agency for investigation if invited.
