SUPER EAGLES: ‘IT WOULD BE AN HONOUR TO SERVE AS ASSISTANT COACH’ – ILECHUKWU
Rangers head coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu, has said it will be an honour to be named Super Eagles assistant coach.
Ilechukwu is one of the local coaches being considered to be part of the new backroom staff of the Super Eagles.
“This will be an opportunity, it will take me to a bigger level, it will be a great one for me,” he was quoted by SCORENigeria.
“Whatever I am there or not, I will support the team to do well in both AFCON qualifiers and the World Cup qualifiers.”
Ilechukwu led Rangers to win the Nigeria Premier Football League title last season.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is yet to name a substantive head coach for the Super Eagles.
