Popular Kannywood actress, Rahama Sadau, has tied the knot with a yet-to-be-identified partner in a private nikkah ceremony held on Saturday in Kaduna.
The low-key wedding reportedly took place at the Atiku Auwal Mosque in Unguwan Rimi, with clerics, close family members, and friends in attendance.
A video from the event captured prayer sessions led by Islamic clerics, as well as moments of celebration with the actress’s sisters and close friends during the festivities.
Confirming the marriage on Instagram, Sadau shared scenes from the ceremony and expressed her joy at the milestone.
“Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem…Alhamdulillah, my nikkah was done today. I am officially a Mrs. A new chapter unfolds. My heart is overflowing with gratitude and joy. May the Almighty bless our union with tranquility, everlasting love, happiness, and abundant prosperity. We kindly ask for your prayers as we step into this beautiful new journey together,” she wrote.
The marriage comes after years of public scrutiny from some members of her Arewa fan base, who have criticised her fashion style as deviating from traditional northern theatre norms.
