The Lagos State Police Command has arraigned a 26-year-old woman, Comfort Bob, before the Magistrate Court in Ikeja for multiple offences, including assaulting airline crew members and damaging property onboard an Ibom Air flight.

According to court documents, the incident occurred on August 10, 2025, around 2:30 p.m. aboard Ibom Aircraft No. 5N-BXP at the Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal Two (MMA2), Ikeja. Comfort Bob allegedly behaved in an unruly and disorderly manner by shouting, abusing, and assaulting flight crew members, and refusing to disembark after landing, in violation of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) bye-laws.

She was also accused of slapping and hitting a flight attendant, Juliana Edward, and striking another crew member, Jokpame Sagun, with her slippers. In addition, prosecutors allege she willfully damaged the aircraft’s divider curtain, valued at $2,500, and tore a braided wig worth N110,000 belonging to one of the crew members.

The charges, filed by the Commissioner of Police and prosecuted by Inspector Ojonjoku Paschal, include violations of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015, and the FAAN bye-laws.

Comfort Bob faces five counts ranging from disorderly conduct and assault to willful property damage. The case is being handled by the International Airport Division, Beesam, Ikeja.

If convicted, she could face penalties under sections 4(2) of the FAAN bye-law and sections 170, 172, and 350 of the Lagos State Criminal Law.
