POLICE ARREST SIX SUSPECTED CULTISTS OVER MURDER IN LAGOS

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested six suspected cultists in connection with the gruesome murder of a 30-year-old man identified as Kamoru, popularly known as “Keeper,” during a violent cult clash in the Ebute Meta area.

The suspects 30-year-old Raphael Ashim, 33-year-old Wasiu Kareem, 40-year-old Sadiq Olabisi, 27-year-old Olamilekan Oluwatosin, 54-year-old Olalekan Olugbodi, and 22-year-old Ibrahim Oladimeji were apprehended on July 17, 2025, during an intelligence-led operation by detectives from the Command’s Anti-Kidnapping Unit in Surulere.

According to police sources, the arrests followed discreet investigations linking the men to a series of violent clashes in Ebute Meta and surrounding communities, culminating in the killing of “Keeper.”

The police disclosed that efforts are ongoing to apprehend other members of the syndicate and recover weapons used in the attack.

The suspects have since been charged to court and are currently awaiting trial.
