OBEDIENTS REAFFIRM UNWAVERING COMMITMENT

Advocates of the 2023 Candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Mr. Peter Obi, organized under the Obidients Movement, have reiterated their steadfast dedication to the principles of integrity, transparency, and accountable governance, in accordance with Obi’s vision.
The spokesperson for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Chapter of the movement, Igoche Joseph, expressed this at the inauguration of the Abuja chapter’s Make Election Rigging Difficult (GO MERD) campaign yesterday.
He stated, “Today, we are delighted to announce the official initiation of a new campaign: GO MERD – Make Election Rigging Difficult. This initiative is a direct reaction to the challenges that threaten our democracy.
“Through vigilance, civic education, and active citizen participation, the GO MERD campaign will empower Nigerians to protect their votes, unveil irregularities, and ensure that every ballot genuinely counts.
“The Obidients Movement is not a transient trend or campaign structure; it is a civic movement founded on shared ideals. From students to craftsmen, professionals to retirees, we are unified in the belief that A New Nigeria is Achievable a Nigeria where leadership serves the populace rather than exploits it.
“In the FCT and nationwide, Nigerian youths continue to energize this vision. They are mobilizing communities, advocating both online and offline, and demonstrating that the authentic political structure is the people themselves.
“To those who doubt our resolve, we assert: the Obidients Movement is not merely a social media phenomenon but a grassroots force. To those who regard us as excessively idealistic, we reply: demanding honesty, prudence, and accountability from our leaders is not idealism it is basic logic.
“This endeavor is a continuation of our broader mission. Already, the Obidients Movement has transformed Nigeria’s political dialogue redirecting it from ethnic and religious considerations to issues of competence and accountability. Our efforts extend beyond elections; they are about nation-building.
“The Obidients Movement embodies unity, hope, and accountability. With GO MERD, we declare that election rigging must no longer characterize our democracy. Together, we will demonstrate that a New Nigeria is Achievable. and we will turn that vision into reality.
