The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has intensified nationwide counterterrorism and counter-banditry operations, successfully neutralizing Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists and dismantling bandit enclaves in multiple states.

According to a statement by the NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the precision airstrikes targeted ISWAP positions in Mallam Fatori and Shuwaram, Borno State, and destroyed bandit hideouts in Garin Dandi and Chigogo in Kwara State, as well as Zango Hill in Kankara Local Government Area, Katsina State.

The operations were carried out under the coordinated frameworks of Operation HADIN KAI and Operation FANSAN YAMMA, marking a decisive phase in ongoing joint missions against terrorist and criminal networks across Nigeria’s northern region.

Ejodame highlighted that the success of the missions underscores the Nigerian Air Force’s renewed operational tempo, following directives from the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke.

“These precision missions reaffirm the NAF’s commitment to leveraging intelligence-driven airpower to decisively neutralize insurgents and criminals while protecting the lives and properties of citizens,” the statement said.

The airstrikes are part of a broader effort to enhance national security across the northern theatres, demonstrating the Air Force’s resolve to combat insurgency and criminality with strategic and purposeful lethality.
