Read Time:43 Second

Former Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, held a meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa on Monday evening.

Our correspondent reported that Musa arrived at the State House at 7:03 pm and was escorted into the President’s office area by a senior security official. Dressed in dark-green traditional northern attire with elbow-length sleeves, this marks Musa’s first public meeting with President Tinubu since his retirement on October 24, 2025.

The purpose of the meeting has not been disclosed.

The meeting comes amid rising security challenges in northern Nigeria, including the recent abduction of schoolgirls in Kebbi, an attack on worshippers in Eruku, Kwara State, and the kidnapping of Catholic schoolchildren in Minna. Security agencies continue to intensify counter-terrorism and anti-kidnapping operations across the North-West and North-Central regions.
