During her latest appearance on the Young Famous and African reality show, Annie made the appeal in a video that went popular on social media.

Actress Annie Macaulay, who is no longer married to Afrobeats star Innocent “2Baba” Idibia, has shared several mysterious posts on Instagram after a video appeared online showing the singer involved in a public argument in London.

Shortly after the footage emerged online showing 2Baba in an altercation that ended with him being led away by policemen, Annie updated her Instagram Stories on Monday with messages many users interpreted as reactions to the controversy.

In one of the posts, she wrote, “Sometimes, trying to prove that you are the best is an insult.”

She also shared an image of burning matchsticks, with one stick pulled aside to prevent the others from catching fire. The text attached to the illustration read: “The power of stepping away.”

The posts came a few hours after 2Baba briefly appeared on Daddy Freeze’s Instagram Live. During the broadcast, which included two of the singer‘s former managers, Kaka Igbokwe and Lori Tosan, the pair claimed that 2Baba’s wife, Natasha Osawaru, was having too much influence over his personal and work choices. As the conversation went on, 2Baba entered the session and told them to stop talking about his private life.
A little while later, people watching the live stream noticed a struggle in the background. Natasha was seen trying to stop someone during the broadcast.

The event on Monday has made people pay more attention to the couple.
Their relationship was already a big topic earlier this year after 2Baba announced he was no longer with Annie.

He proposed to Osawaru in February and married her in July, starting a new part of his life that has kept the public interested.

The recent video and Annie’s posts have brought back discussions about the challenges in the singer’s personal life and the women he’s been connected with.
