JAMB RELEASES 2026 UTME AND DE FORM SALES, REGISTRATION AND EXAM DATES

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the commencement of application sales for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The announcement was made in a statement released on Tuesday by the Board’s Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, via JAMB’s official X handle.

According to the Board, applications are open to suitably qualified candidates seeking admission into Nigerian tertiary institutions for the 2026/27 session. Eligibility is generally restricted to candidates who will be at least 16 years old by 30th September 2026. However, underage candidates may apply under strict conditions, including scoring a minimum of 80% in UTME/A-LEVEL, PUTME, SSCE, and the exceptional candidate assessment. The results for underage candidates will be released only after full evaluation.

JAMB outlined the registration schedule, stating that UTME registration—including for foreign candidates—runs from Monday, 26th January to Saturday, 28th February 2026. E-PIN vending for UTME will start on Monday, 19th January, and end on Thursday, 26th February 2026.

For Direct Entry candidates, the sale of application forms and E-PINs will take place from Monday, 2nd March to Saturday, 25th April 2026 at JAMB State and Zonal offices.

The Board also announced three categories of E-PINs: Direct Entry (₦5,700), UTME without mock (₦7,200), and UTME with mock (₦8,700). The breakdown includes: UTME/DE application fee – ₦3,500; Reading Text – ₦1,000; CBT Centre Registration – ₦700; CBT UTME Service Charge – ₦1,500; Bank Charges – ₦500; and Mock-UTME Centre Charge – ₦1,500.

The 2026 UTME exams are scheduled to begin on Thursday, 16th April, and conclude on Saturday, 25th April 2026. Optional Mock-UTME will be held on Saturday, 28th March 2026.
