Nollywood star Mercy Johnson has warned that she will take legal action against online trolls and platforms spreading false information about her and her family.
The actress issued the warning on Monday in response to claims made by TikTok content creator and blogger Eedie Bliss, who alleged that Johnson’s husband purchased a mansion for a mistress who became pregnant by him.
Recalls that Eedie Bliss was released from detention on Saturday, January 17, 2026, following public backlash.
Addressing the controversy for the first time, Mercy Johnson shared a video on her Instagram page, stating:
“We have decided to withdraw the charges against the lady in question because of the love and respect we have for the many individuals who reached out.”

However, she emphasized that false reporting would no longer be tolerated. She added,
“It’s no longer going to be business as usual for online trolls and platforms sharing false rumours about me and my family.”
In the video, Mercy further addressed her fans:
“Hi guys, good morning from the other side. First and foremost, let me thank you all for supporting my craft. I do not take your love for granted. But I felt the need to say that it’s no longer going to be business as usual. I have plans for later this year regarding online matters, and pursuing legal action will be part of them because some people just won’t leave me and my family alone.”
