ARSENAL VS CHELSEA: ARTETA EYES OPPORTUNITY TO REGAIN MOMENTUM

Manchester City scraped a hard-fought 1-0 victory away at Leeds on Saturday.
Pep Guardiola’s side endured a difficult opening 20 minutes at Elland Road, with the hosts starting brightly and applying intense pressure. Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Brenden Aaronson squandered key opportunities, while Antoine Semenyo struck the decisive goal just before half-time.
The win moves City to within two points of Arsenal.
However, the Gunners have the opportunity to restore a five-point cushion when they welcome Chelsea to the Emirates on Sunday.
Mikel Arteta’s men responded similarly last week after City defeated Newcastle 2-1 at the Etihad. Arsenal travelled to Tottenham and delivered a commanding 4-1 victory, with Viktor Gyokeres and Eberechi Eze both netting braces.

They will be aiming for a repeat performance against another London rival, although Chelsea are expected to pose a far sterner test than Spurs did. A victory over the Blues would send an even stronger message than their emphatic North London Derby triumph.
For Liam Rosenior, Chelsea’s push for a Champions League finish appears to be losing momentum. Liverpool thrashed West Ham 5-2 on Saturday to move three points clear, while Manchester United could extend their advantage over Chelsea to six points with a win against Crystal Palace.
Sunday’s clash at the Emirates carries major significance for both teams.
Chelsea need maximum points to strengthen their bid for Champions League qualification, while Arsenal must keep winning to maintain their edge in the title race, with City close behind.
