2027: JANDOR MOBILISES LAGOS SUPPORT FOR TINUBU, HAMZAT

The Lagos4Lagos Movement’s lead visioner and All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart, Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, has pledged the support of his political structure for the party and its candidates at both the federal and state levels ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Adediran made the commitment on Thursday when he led about 300 members of the group to the campaign office of Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, Director-General of the 2027 Lagos APC governorship candidate, Dr Obafemi Hamzat’s campaign organisation, in Ikeja.
The meeting centred on plans to integrate the Lagos4Lagos structure into the APC’s grassroots mobilisation network ahead of the elections.
Jandor explained that his decision to withdraw from the APC governorship primary was driven by his respect for President Bola Tinubu and the leadership of the party.
He said Lagos4Lagos had continued to support the APC even during the last local government elections, despite not fielding candidates.
According to him, the group printed campaign materials and mobilised voters across the 20 local government areas of the state in support of the party.
Jandor said the swift response of his supporters to Obanikoro’s invitation demonstrated their readiness to work with the APC ahead of the 2027 polls.
He, however, noted that the full integration of Lagos4Lagos into the APC structure would ultimately depend on the party’s leadership.
He disclosed that the group was already working towards having two representatives in each of the more than 13,000 polling units across Lagos State, assuring that its structure was prepared to contribute to the party’s electoral victory.
Jandor identified the presidential election as a major priority, stressing that President Bola Tinubu’s victory in Lagos would be crucial to the APC’s overall success in 2027.
He said the group was determined to help the APC recover the presidential votes it lost in Lagos during the 2023 election.
“We will bring the energy back to win the presidency in the first ballot. We just need to right the wrong of 2023,” Jandor said.
Earlier, Obanikoro said the campaign organisation would adopt an inclusive approach and encouraged members of Lagos4Lagos to integrate into the APC’s grassroots structures.
He identified voter turnout as one of the factors that affected the party’s performance in previous elections, urging supporters to mobilise voters to participate actively in the 2027 poll.
Obanikoro also described Hamzat as a strong candidate for the Lagos governorship, citing his experience as Deputy Governor of the state and calling on party members to work towards delivering both Tinubu and Hamzat in the election.
