UPDATE: 87.2 MILLION PVCs COLLECTED AHEAD OF 2023 POLLS – INEC
In advance of the presidential elections on Saturday, February 25, INEC has made its final PVC collection data public.
No fewer than 87,209,007 people, or 93.3% of registered voters, successfully received their PVCs, according to figures made public by the commission on Thursday, February 23.
According to the data, 93,469,008 electorates registered for a PVC in the run-up to the election.
The fate of the 18 candidates contesting to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari will therefore be decided by 87,209,007 voters.
The commission had initially fixed December 12 to January 22 for the exercise in all the 774 local government areas.
However, INEC later extended the deadline till January 29, before extending the deadline again till February 5.
