OBASA COMMENDS LAGOS CP, COMMAND FOR DEMONSTRATING COMPETENCE
The Honorable Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. (Dr) Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa, has commended the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Idowu Owohunwa, and the entire Command for demonstrating ‘competence, zeal, commitment, and dedication to service.’
The speaker based his appreciation on the recent arrest of the accused assassins of Mr. Sani Olaniyi, a top aide to Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, who was slain on Saturday, August 5, 2023, by a known gang of armed robbers, among other recent successes.
Rt. Hon. Obasa, who transmitted his commendation in a letter signed by the Clerk of the House, O.B. Onafeko, also expressed trust in the Lagos State Police Command, led by CP Owohunwa, to ‘perform its duties creditably well.’
While CP Owohunwa appreciates the vote of confidence, he comments that the commendation has undoubtedly boosted the morale of the command’s officers and soldiers. The CP further assures the Speaker, the entire House, and Lagosians in general of the Command’s unflinching commitment to guaranteeing the safety and security of all residents and visitors to Lagos State on a long-term basis.
