In observance of World Teachers’ Day, Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has declared Monday a public holiday for educators in the state.
The state’s public and private schools will not open for business on Teacher’s Day, according to a statement issued by Hajia Sa’adatu Modibbo-Kawu, the commissioner for education and human capital development, on Sunday night.
In the statement, the governor expressed his gratitude to the educators for their continued efforts to promote human progress through high-quality instruction and mental development.
“The Governor directs that this holiday be enjoyed by teachers in the public and private sector as a mark of appreciation for what they do,” Modibbo-Kawu said.
