
MASTERMIND COMMUNITY FOUNDATION EMPOWERS STUDENTS IN LAGOS WITH KEY LIFE SKILLS (PHOTOS)

The Lagos State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Education District II, in collaboration with the Master Mind Community Foundation, hosted the “Smart Teens Workshop” on Friday, May 23, 2025. The one-day sensitization program held at Immaculate Heart Comprehensive Senior High School, Maryland, Lagos, brought together students from various Lagos State public secondary schools.
The workshop, themed “Emotional and Social Intelligence: Key Life Skills for Today’s Teens,” focused on equipping students with essential interpersonal skills needed to navigate the complexities of adolescence and modern society. Through interactive sessions, students were guided on how to understand and manage emotions, build healthy relationships, and make responsible decisions.
Facilitators emphasized the importance of emotional awareness and social responsibility as tools for academic and personal success. The program was well received by both students and educators, who praised the initiative for addressing vital yet often overlooked aspects of teenage development.
