CHIEF JUDGE’S AIDE KIDNAPPED IN LAFIA

Mr. Enock Maku, the Senior Special Assistant for Information and Protocol to the Chief Judge of Nasarawa State, has been kidnapped by unidentified armed assailants in the Agyaragu region of Lafia Local Government Area.

The occurrence transpired in the late hours of Wednesday, instigating alarm within the community.

Confirming the situation, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, DSP Ramhan Nansel, stated that security personnel responded promptly and engaged the captors in a confrontation that resulted in the rescue of two individuals. Nevertheless, Maku remains in detention.

“The command has initiated a comprehensive investigation and manhunt to ensure the safe return of Mr. Maku,” Nansel mentioned, adding that efforts are currently underway to apprehend the offenders.

The PPRO urged residents to maintain composure and collaborate with law enforcement, assuring that every measure is being taken to secure Maku’s safe release.

The abduction is the latest in a series of security issues in the region, inciting renewed calls for enhanced protection of government officials and improved community vigilance.
