The Iranian military has issued a warning to the United States against carrying out further attacks.

Military spokesperson Brigadier General Ebrahim Zolfaghari said on Tuesday that Iran would respond with “new tools and methods” if the US launches any fresh strike on its territory.

According to the state-run Fars News Agency, he also declared that Iran “cannot be besieged or defeated.”

He added that, given Iran’s control and influence over the Strait of Hormuz, the current situation in the strategic waterway cannot be reversed, insisting that the only option for adversaries is to respect Iran’s rights and sovereignty.

Similarly, Ebrahim Azizi, head of Iran’s parliament national security commission, stated that the Strait of Hormuz would remain under Tehran’s control and administration.

The warning comes amid reports that former US President Donald Trump called off planned strikes on Iran following requests from Gulf states during ongoing diplomatic discussions, while also cautioning that Washington could launch a major offensive if negotiations fail.
