A United Kingdom court has sentenced 41-year-old Nigerian national, Elvis Nosakhare, to six years imprisonment for the sexual abuse of his partner’s underage daughter.

The assaults occurred in the Thames Valley area, shortly after Nosakhare entered into a relationship with the victim’s mother, whom he had met via an  online dating platform. According to court proceedings, the abuse began after he gained the family’s trust, exploiting his access to the young girl during the course of the relationship.

Authorities described the case as deeply troubling, emphasizing the long-term emotional impact on the victim. Nosakhare was convicted following a thorough investigation, and the court noted that his actions represented a serious breach of trust.

According to Thames Valley Police, Nosakhare was found guilty at Aylesbury Crown Court of two offenses involving penetrative sexual conduct with a minor and three offenses of non-penetrative sexual conduct. These crimes were revealed following an inquiry conducted by the force’s Child Abuse Unit.

In addition to the prison sentence, Nosakhare has been registered on the Sex Offenders Register indefinitely. A restraining order was also mandated by the court.

Detective Constable Bryn Smith, who oversaw the investigation, recognized the significance of the victim’s contribution to the case. “I wish to commend the victim for her courage throughout the investigation and court proceedings. I hope this conviction provides her with a sense of justice,” he stated.

Nosakhare, a resident of Sheelin Grove, Bletchley, received his sentencing on July 29.
