BREAKING: COURT TO DELIVER VERDICT IN KANU’S TERRORISM TRIAL ON NOV 20

By: Muftau Fatimo
Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court has scheduled November 20 for the delivery of judgment in the terrorism case filed by the federal government against Nnamdi Kanu, the Biafra separatist leader.
The date was set on Friday after Kanu repeatedly refused to present his defense, despite earlier indications that he would.
On the same day, Kanu filed a motion challenging the trial, arguing that terrorism is no longer recognized as a criminal offense in Nigeria.
He argued that the previous Terrorism Prevention and Prohibition Act had been repealed, and therefore, the charges against him are no longer valid.
