JUST IN: TINUBU VOWS TO ERADICATE TERRORISM, COLLABORATE WITH GLOBAL LEADERS

BY JENN NOMAMIUKOR
President Bola Tinubu has reiterated his administration‘s dedication to eradicating terrorism and enhancing diplomatic relationships with Nigeria’s international allies.
“We are interacting with the world diplomatically, and we assure everyone that we will overcome terrorism,” the President stated just prior to the Federal Executive Council convening a private session on Thursday.
The assembly, conducted at the Council Chamber of the Aso Rock Villa in Abuja, marks the council‘s first meeting since July.
His comments follow shortly after U. S. President Donald Trump labeled Nigeria as a ‘Country of Particular Concern,‘ a decision the Federal Government has characterized as a distortion of the country’s security circumstances.
In his first public comments on the matter, Tinubu said his government is engaging the international community to advance security, stability, and economic growth.
Despite political headwinds and fears, we will continue to engage with our partners.
“The success of the $2.3bn Eurobond, which was oversubscribed, is a sign of confidence in our economy.
