Chelsea’s Tyrique George has opened up about his heritage, revealing that his father is Nigerian and his mother is Ghanaian.

Currently on loan at Everton, the 19-year-old midfielder shared details about his background in an interview discussing his life off the pitch.

George is eligible to represent Nigeria, Ghana, or England at the international level, giving him multiple options for his football career.

During a feature on Everton’s official channel, he introduced himself, saying, “I am Tyrique George, and here are five things you should know about me,” before explaining, “I was born in Camden, London, my mum is Ghanaian, and my dad is Nigerian.”

Having joined Chelsea’s youth academy in 2014, George made his senior debut for the club in 2024.
