FAITHIA BALOGUN ANNOUNCES PRIVATE BURIAL ARRANGEMENTS FOR MOTHER

Nollywood actress Faithia Balogun has announced the burial arrangements for her late mother, Gloria Williams.

The actress shared the details in a post on her Instagram page on Monday, stating that the ceremonies would be conducted privately and strictly by invitation.

According to the schedule released by the family, a wake-keep will be held on Friday, March 6, followed by interment and lying-in-state on Saturday, March 7. A Thanksgiving Mass is scheduled for Sunday, March 8, at St. Monica Catholic Church.

Faithia noted that attendance at the events would be limited to close friends and relatives, adding that a later date would be announced for a larger public burial ceremony.

“I want to specifically thank everyone who has reached out since the demise of my dear mother. I’m truly grateful for the emotional support, the calls, the visits and the show of love. May Allah (SWT) bless you all,” she wrote.

She further cautioned that only guests invited through designated contacts would be admitted to the private ceremony.

Last month, the actress announced her mother’s passing, revealing that she died shortly before her 55th birthday celebration. Faithia described her late mother as her “cheerleader, prayer warrior, best friend and gist partner.”
