The Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts & Culture has announced a strategic partnership with Giwa Gardens to provide 1,000 complimentary tickets to Lagos families throughout April.
This initiative underscores the Ministry’s commitment to promoting family-friendly recreation and expanding access to inclusive leisure opportunities across the State.
The initiative also reflects the State Government’s dedication to enhancing the quality of life for residents by creating opportunities for families to bond, relax, and build lasting memories. It is designed to reinforce the belief that a vibrant city thrives when its people have access to safe and enjoyable recreational experiences.
Speaking on the initiative, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Tourism, Arts & Culture, Idris Aregbe, described it as “A deliberate move to make quality leisure experiences accessible to all Lagosians.”
According to the Special Adviser, “Lagos is open, Lagos is fun and Lagos is for everyone”. He further emphasised that the initiative goes beyond offering free tickets, as it represents a broader investment in family wellbeing, shared experiences and social cohesion.
Each ticket grants access to the park and includes a safety kit.
The tickets are valid for a one-time weekend visit on any of the following dates: April 3 – 5, April 10 – 12, April 17 – 19, and April 24 – 26
While noting that Crocs are required for safety within the water park, the SA urged interested participants to submit their name and email address to:
iaregbe@lagosstate.gov.ng
zidowu@lagosstate.gov.ng.
It must be noted that the tickets are free, and are issued electronically, but available on a first-come, first-served basis.
