President Bola Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, has thrown his full weight behind Deputy Governor Kadri Obafemi Hamzat’s ambition to become the next Governor of Lagos State in 2027. “Surulere is for you, Lagos is for you to win,” Gbajabiamila declared.

The former Speaker of the House of Representatives commended Hamzat’s competence and leadership capacity, expressing confidence that Lagos would remain “in safe hands” under his possible leadership.
Gbajabiamila’s endorsement is viewed as a major political boost for the Deputy Governor’s governorship ambition within the All Progressives Congress in Lagos State.
Hamzat has continued consultations with party leaders and key stakeholders as he builds support ahead of the 2027 governorship contest.
