OSIMHEN SCORES AS GALATASARAY CRUSH FENERBAHCE 3-0 IN ISTANBUL DERBY

Victor Osimhen found the net as Galatasaray secured a commanding 3-0 victory over Fenerbahce in a fiery Istanbul derby on Sunday, strengthening their push for a fourth straight Turkish Super Lig title.
The Nigerian forward opened the scoring in the 40th minute, marking his return from injury with a close-range finish that gave the hosts the lead at Rams Park.
Baris Alper Yilmaz later doubled Galatasaray’s advantage from the penalty spot in the 67th minute, before Lucas Torreira sealed the emphatic win with a late third goal.
The result extends Galatasaray’s lead over second-placed Fenerbahce to seven points with four matches left, placing them in a strong position to retain the league crown.
The match began with early tension, as both sides were involved in an on-field clash within the first 10 minutes, leading to several bookings.

Fenerbahce had an early opportunity to take control after being awarded a penalty in the 13th minute, but Anderson Talisca missed from the spot.
Galatasaray gradually took charge of the encounter and broke the deadlock through Osimhen before halftime.
The second half saw further controversy, with two Galatasaray goals disallowed after VAR checks for offside.
Fenerbahce’s chances of a comeback were dealt a major blow in the 62nd minute when they were reduced to 10 men following a second yellow card.
Galatasaray made their numerical advantage count, with Yilmaz converting a penalty shortly after to make it 2-0, before Torreira completed the scoring in the 83rd minute.
The victory leaves Galatasaray firmly on course for another league title, provided they maintain their advantage in the final stretch of the season.
