NIGERIAN ARMY TROOPS RESCUE TWO ABDUCTED CHILDREN IN ADAMAWA STATE

Troops of the Nigerian Army have rescued two children in a search-and-rescue operation following a kidnapping incident in Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
The development was disclosed in a post on X on Sunday by security analyst Zagazola Makama, who quoted security sources.
According to the report, the operation commenced at about 4:32 a.m. after troops received a distress call regarding an abduction in the Korpallama area.
Sources said troops of B Company, 144 Battalion, based in Gulak, worked alongside members of the Civilian Joint Task Force to carry out the rescue mission.
During the operation, two victims, Barnabas Apagu, 12, and Ruth Apagu, 10, were successfully freed.
The sources added that two other victims, Rahila Apagu, 21, and Ijandri Apagu, 19, are still missing, with efforts to locate them ongoing.
Security operations in the area have also been intensified as troops continue the search.
