LAGOS HOSTS PRAYER RALLY FOR TINUBU’S RE-ELECTION

More than 55,000 Nigerians are expected to gather at Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos on Sunday for a special congregational prayer event for Nigeria and President Bola Tinubu.
Mohammed Danmole, the Director-General of the Renewed Hope Network in Lagos State, shared this information on Thursday during a press conference in Ikeja, Lagos, before the prayer event.
The Renewed Hope Network, led nationally by Senator Abdul’aziz Yari and state–wise by James Faleke, is a grassroots political group supporting the re–election of Tinubu for a second term.
Danmole explained that the prayer session will bring together Muslims and Christians from different parts of the country.
It will include prayers for peace, progress, and prosperity for Nigeria, as well as for divine guidance and strength for President Tinubu’s government.
He disclosed that the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, several Christian and Muslim clerics, and the leadership of the Muslim community in Lagos would lead prayers at the event.
He said, “The Renewed Hope Network will hold a grand congregational prayer for Nigeria and President Bola Tinubu on Sunday, May 10, 2026.
“This epoch-making event is expected to attract over 55,000 participants from all walks of life, geopolitical zones and faith-based organisations.
“It will serve as a solemn platform for intercessory prayers for the peace, progress and prosperity of our dear nation, as well as for divine guidance and strength for President Tinubu’s administration.
“Let us come together in faith and unity to pray for our President and our country as we prepare to take the Renewed Hope Agenda to greater heights.”
He further stated that the event would unite members of the Mandate Movement and Justice Forum, two rival political factions in Lagos, in prayers.
Danmole added that the gathering would also feature the TRN formally endorsing Tinubu for a second term and Lagos Deputy Governor, Obafemi Hamzat, as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the state for the next governorship election.
