AJIBADE TEASES ODEMWINGIE PODCAST ON NFF FEUDS, DECADE-LONG EXPERIENCE

Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade has teased an upcoming podcast episode featuring former Super Eagles striker Peter Osaze Odemwingie, with the former Nigeria international expected to discuss his decade-long experiences with the Nigeria Football Federation and other aspects of his career.
A promotional poster for episode 14 of the podcast shared on social media carries the title, “The NFF. The Feuds. The Silence,” with the episode scheduled to premiere soon on YouTube, Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
Ajibade, who shared the announcement, said the story had taken 10 years to piece together, while highlighting Odemwingie’s achievements during and after his football career.
“Some stories take years to tell. This one took ten. He wore the Super Eagles shirt 65 times. Scored 38 Premier League goals. Became a PGA Professional Golfer. And through all of it, the NFF, the feuds, the silence, he never stopped believing that God was in every chapter,” she wrote.
The Super Falcons captain added that the episode would not shy away from details surrounding Odemwingie’s experiences.
Odemwingie made 65 appearances for Nigeria and scored 38 Premier League goals during his playing career before transitioning into professional golf and qualifying as a PGA professional.
The forthcoming episode is expected to touch on his experiences with the NFF, including disputes and other issues surrounding his time with the national team.
The football body has faced periodic criticism and public disputes involving coaching appointments, player bonuses and the administration of Nigeria’s national teams.
Meanwhile, Ajibade was in action on Tuesday alongside fellow Super Falcons star Jennifer Echegini as Paris Saint-Germain Women drew 1-1 with Real Madrid Women in the UEFA Women’s Champions League at the Alfredo Di Stefano Stadium.
PSG are scheduled to host Oud-Heverlee Leuven in their next league fixture on October 1.
