ARMY ACHIEVES FURTHER SUCCESS AS TROOPS ELIMINATE 21 TERRORISTS IN KATSINA

‎Troops from the Joint Task Force North West, operating under Operation Fasin Yama, have successfully neutralized no fewer than 21 terrorists causing unrest in parts of Katsina State.

‎

‎This was revealed by the Nigerian Army Headquarters in a statement shared on its official social media platforms on Friday.

‎

‎According to the post, the operation took place in Ruwan Godiya, located in Faskari Local Government Area of Katsina State.

‎

‎According to the army, the troops subdued the terrorists in a fierce firefight, forcing them to abandon their base and flee.

‎

‎“During the ensuing pursuit, 21 terrorists were neutralized, with some succumbing to drowning in a nearby river.

‎

‎“The operation also yielded a significant seizure of large cache of arms and ammunition, including guns, rifles, magazines, explosives, communication devices, mobile phones, and motorcycles”.

‎

‎There has been a significant victory against the insurgents causing havoc in the northern part of the country.
