BBNaija: Aikou, Flora Get Another Shot at ₦160m Grand Prize as Organisers Unveil New Twist
Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemates, Aikou and Flora, have been given another opportunity to compete for the ₦160 million grand prize following a new twist introduced during Sunday’s live eviction show.
Aikou and Flora were earlier selected as the first Gambits of the season, earning guaranteed spots in the Big Brother Naija house until the grand finale. However, the special status came with a major condition they were ineligible to win the grand prize.
During Sunday’s live show, host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu announced a new twist tagged “Operation Release the Gambit,” which gives viewers the power to decide whether one or both housemates should be reinstated into the competition for the grand prize.
Ebuka said the voting poll would open immediately after the live show, allowing viewers to choose from three options: reinstate Aikou, reinstate Flora, or reinstate both housemates.
Aikou and Flora became the first Gambits of the season after viewers voted them into the special positions earlier in the competition.
Flora emerged as the female Gambit with 29.38 per cent of the votes, while Aikou secured the male Gambit position with 9.10 per cent. Ricky polled 7.30 per cent, while Abi received 6.07 per cent.
The Gambit twist initially guaranteed Aikou and Flora a place in the house until the finale, but required them to sacrifice their eligibility for the ₦160 million grand prize in exchange for guaranteed longevity in the competition.
However, with the introduction of “Operation Release the Gambit,” viewers now have the opportunity to determine whether Aikou, Flora, or both housemates will regain eligibility to compete for the ultimate prize.
