BREAKING: KANO GOVERNOR ABBA YUSUF REJOINS APC, CITES NEED TO WORK WITH FEDERAL GOVERNMENT
By Aishat Momoh. O.

Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State has officially rejoined the All Progressives Congress (APC), returning to the ruling party less than three years after being elected on the platform of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).
Yusuf defected on Monday at the Coronation Hall of the Kano Government House, where he was received into the APC by former National Chairman and ex-Kano governor Abdullahi Ganduje, Deputy Senate President and Kano South Senator Barau Jibrin, Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development Yusuf Ata, and other party leaders.
The governor said his decision to return to the APC was driven by the need to collaborate more closely with the Federal Government under President Bola Tinubu.
Yusuf had left the APC prior to the 2023 elections, contesting and winning the governorship under the NNPP banner, alongside several members of the Kano State House of Assembly and House of Representatives.
