CRESCENT UNIVERSITY LAW STUDENT WINS N350,000 IN NATIONAL ESSAY CONTEST
A final-year Law student of Crescent University, Abeokuta, Mujeebat Idris, has emerged winner of the seventh edition of the Alao Adavise National Essay Competition, receiving a cash prize of N350,000.
Mujeebat outshone contestants from universities across the country with her exceptional essay, which judges described as original, well-researched, and rich in critical analysis.
The organisers of the competition commended her for her clarity of thought, writing skill, and depth of understanding of national issues, noting that her work stood out among several outstanding entries.
The management of Crescent University, led by the Vice-Chancellor, expressed pride in Mujeebat’s achievement, describing it as a reflection of the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and intellectual development.
During a brief recognition ceremony held on campus, the university urged other students to emulate her dedication and make good use of academic opportunities to enhance their professional growth.
The N350,000 prize, according to the organisers, is aimed at encouraging young scholars to engage meaningfully in national discourse through research and writing.
Mujeebat’s success adds to Crescent University’s growing record of national academic accomplishments, reinforcing its reputation as one of Nigeria’s emerging centres for excellence in higher education.
