Neymar, forward for Santos FC, has expressed disappointment after being omitted from Brazil’s latest national team squad, admitting he feels both upset and saddened by the decision.

The former FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain star, who is working his way back to peak form, shared an emotional message addressing the setback.

According to a post by Fabrizio Romano on X on Tuesday, Neymar подчеркed that despite the omission, his focus remains unchanged, stressing his commitment to continuous improvement through training and matches.

“I’m upset and sad about not being called up, but the focus remains—day after day, training after training, game after game,” he said.

“We’re going to achieve our goal. There’s still one final call-up left, and the dream continues. We’re in this together,” Neymar wrote in a post shared by Fabrizio Romano.

The forward’s omission is reportedly tied to his recent struggles with injuries and an extended recovery period, which have limited his playing time and match fitness.

Consequently, Brazil’s coaching staff have chosen to prioritize players who are fully fit and maintaining consistent form.

The Brazil national team is also undergoing a broader transition, with younger players being given increased opportunities as the squad evolves ahead of upcoming major tournaments.
