FRSC DISOWNS VIRAL RECRUITMENT NOTICE, WARNS AGAINST FRAUDSTERS

The Federal Road Safety Corps has disowned a viral notice directing applicants who were not shortlisted or did not receive invitation messages for its 2026 recruitment exercise to report to the nearest FRSC camp for verification.

FRSC, in a statement posted on its X handle on Sunday, described the notice as fake and unauthorised, warning applicants against acting on it.

The Corps said the circulating notice instructed affected applicants to report to the nearest FRSC camp for verification on or before September 25, 2026.

It said, “The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has categorically disowned a viral notice circulating on social media directing applicants who were not shortlisted or did not receive invitation messages to report to the nearest FRSC camp for verification on or before 25 September 2026. The notice is fake, unauthorised and should be disregarded.”

The Corps reiterated that it had not issued any such directive and advised applicants not to report to any FRSC office, camp or training institution based on the circulating message.

“The public is advised to rely only on official FRSC communication channels for information concerning the 2026 recruitment exercise,” it said.

FRSC launched its 2026 nationwide recruitment exercise in July, inviting qualified Nigerians to apply for positions across three cadres: Officer Cadre, including Superintendent Route Commander, Route Commander/Deputy Route Commander and Assistant Route Commander; Marshal Inspectorate Cadre; and Road Marshal Assistant Cadre.

The FRSC recruitment portal currently states that applications are closed and that existing applicants will be contacted for further steps.

Meanwhile, the Corps warned applicants against making payments, sharing personal information or following links circulated by unauthorised individuals claiming to facilitate recruitment.

It said anyone found using the recruitment exercise to deceive or defraud members of the public would be reported to the appropriate law-enforcement authorities.

The road safety corps urged members of the public to disregard the fraudulent publication and avoid falling victim to recruitment scams.
