GOMBE GOV STRENGTHENS CABINET WITH THREE COMMISSIONERS, SIX AIDES

Gombe State Governor, Inuwa Yahaya, has approved the appointment of three Commissioners-designate, two Special Advisers and four Senior Special Assistants as part of efforts to strengthen the administration’s governance structure.

The Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Ibrahim Njodi, announced the appointments in a statement issued on Tuesday.

According to Njodi, Governor Yahaya has forwarded the names of the three Commissioners-designate to the Gombe State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.

The nominees are Dr Ahmed Wali Doho, Nasiru Adamu Degri and Dr Muhammad A. Bello.

The SSG also disclosed that the governor approved the appointment of Abdulmalik Jibrin and Mohammed Nuhu as Special Advisers.

In addition, Jibrin M. Ali, Sadiq Abubakar, popularly known as BB Kumo, John Launa and Danlami Sanda were appointed as Senior Special Assistants II on Political and Community Engagement.

The appointments take immediate effect, while the Commissioners-designate will assume office subject to approval by the State House of Assembly.

The state government said the appointments are intended to improve coordination within the administration and support the implementation of its development agenda.
