GOV LAWAL PRESIDES OVER SECURITY COUNCIL MEETING, PLEDGES TO PROVIDE MORE SUPPORT FOR TROOPS

Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State has stated that his government is continuing to back the security forces working in the state. The governor gave the assurance on Thursday while presiding over the weekly State Security Council meeting at the Government House in Gusau.
A statement by the governor’s spokesperson, Sulaiman Bala Idris, said the meeting was attended by heads of security agencies operating in the state.
According to the statement, discussions focused on strengthening security presence in volatile areas and improving responses to emerging threats.
“Governor Dauda Lawal chaired the weekly Security Council meeting with renewed commitment to strengthening support for troops,” the statement said.
He assured security chiefs of his readiness to take all necessary measures to enhance the welfare and operational effectiveness of personnel deployed across the state.
The meeting also talked about important security issues, especially the need to strengthen the deployment of troops and make sure emergency response systems work better during crises.
Governor Lawal said that keeping the people of Zamfara safe is the main goal of his government.
He also promised the heads of security agencies that his office will keep being available to work together and help deal with security problems in the state.
