HISTORIC NIGHT FOR KOEMAN JR AS GOALKEEPER SCORES TWICE IN EREDIVISIE

Ronald Koeman Jr, the 31-year-old goalkeeper and son of former Netherlands defender and manager Ronald Koeman, scored twice from the penalty spot to earn Telstar a thrilling 2-2 draw against Cambuur in the Eredivisie.
According to BBC Sport, the match saw Telstar reduced to 10 men in the 22nd minute. Cambuur took advantage in the second half, scoring twice to lead 2-0 with under 30 minutes remaining. Koeman pulled one back from the spot in the 63rd minute before converting another penalty in the 11th minute of stoppage time (the 101st minute) to complete a remarkable comeback.
The late equaliser made him the first goalkeeper to score twice in a single Eredivisie match. It was not his first decisive penalty for the club: in May he had scored the winning spot-kick against FC Volendam that secured Telstar’s survival from relegation.
His father stepped down as Netherlands manager in June after the team’s World Cup last-32 exit to Morocco.
