Former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua delivered a commanding display on Saturday morning, stopping YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul with a sixth-round knockout in their heavyweight clash in Miami.

Paul lasted longer than many expected, but Joshua’s superior strength and experience ultimately told, The Athletic reported.

The British star floored Paul twice in a frantic fifth round, paving the way for the decisive finish.

Joshua ended the contest in the sixth round, firing a relentless combination of heavy punches that left Paul unable to continue, forcing the referee to step in and stop the fight.

After the bout, Joshua shifted focus to longtime rival Tyson Fury, issuing a direct challenge.

“Put down (your) Twitter fingers and put on some gloves and come and fight me,” he said.

Paul later disclosed that he sustained a broken jaw during the fight but stopped short of naming his next opponent.

Instead, he announced plans to take a break from boxing following the defeat, which represents the second loss of his professional career.

Paul, currently ranked No. 14 in the WBA cruiserweight division, has recorded victories over consecutive former world champions.

He previously defeated a 58-year-old Mike Tyson in November 2024 during Netflix’s boxing debut and most recently outpointed 39-year-old Julio Cesar Chávez Jr. in June.
