Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has praised President Bola Tinubu, saying no previous Nigerian leader has delivered more development projects to Northern Nigeria than the current administration.
Speaking during an interview on ARISE Television on Tuesday, Sani said his assessment was based on available data and statistics, pointing to investments in infrastructure, agriculture, healthcare and education across the region.
The governor also dismissed claims that Tinubu’s support base in the North had weakened ahead of the 2027 elections, expressing confidence that the President would secure even more votes in the region than he did during the 2023 presidential poll.
Highlighting key projects, Sani cited the ongoing Abuja-Kaduna highway reconstruction, revealing that more than N600 billion had been paid to contractors and expressing optimism that the road would be completed and commissioned before the end of the year.
He further referenced the Kaduna–Birnin Gwari road project, noting that the route had been neglected for over two decades before receiving funding under the Tinubu administration.
According to the governor, the Federal Government has also boosted agricultural development through interventions such as fertiliser support and the implementation of the Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zones programme, which he said has strengthened Kaduna State’s agricultural sector.
Sani additionally listed the establishment of a Federal University of Science and Technology in Southern Kaduna, the upgrade of a state-owned hospital to a Federal Medical Centre, and the approval of a Kaduna light rail project as major achievements of the administration.
He maintained that these initiatives reflect the Federal Government’s commitment to improving infrastructure, economic opportunities and public services across Northern Nigeria.
